Youth Mental Health

Ambassadors

About

A hallmark of Thriving Asians’ Youth Mental Health Leadership Programs — the Youth Mental Health Ambassadorship trains exceptional students to be peer mental health educators & supporters, and bring a Thriving Asians workshop to their local community.

Ambassadors possess strong community ties, and identify their community of choice to partner with and host the workshop. Local partners may be a:

  • School

  • Student club

  • Asian/BIPOC cultural affinity group

  • Youth leadership organization

  • Faith youth group

  • Etc.

Throughout the program, Ambassadors receive training and mentorship to fulfill the various roles of a peer mental health leader - advocate, liaison, educator, and supporter. Learn more about Training & Mentorship.

The Ambassadorship culminates with the student leading the signature Thriving Asians Workshop “Redefining Mental Health: A Foundation for Success” in their chosen community. Learn more about the Workshop Curriculum.
