About
Mentors of Thriving Asians’ Youth Mental Health Leadership Programs are professionals/adults who support students in their journeys of growth as rising leaders, and towards holistic success & wellbeing.
As role models to youth, Mentors are dedicated to:
encouraging holistic success - inclusive of leadership / academic / professional development and personal wellbeing
uplifting empowering mental health messaging
teaching self-care & self-compassion
holding supportive space
leading with authenticity & lived experience

Throughout the program, Mentors guide students in:
learning the Training Curriculum
implementing projects
navigating academic / professional interest in mental health or related fields

Meeting Structure
Group Sessions
Mentors support the facilitation of virtual Group Sessions for Youth Mental Health Leaders on biweekly Saturdays. The Mentor team works together to facilitate community building activities, skills training, and student project check-ins.
Mentor Meetings
Mentors hold 1:1 or small group virtual meetings with assigned Youth Mental Health Leaders. These meetings provide space for individualized project guidance and mentorship. Meetings are scheduled according to mentor and student schedules on a monthly basis, or as needed per project/student needs.

Requirements
Professionals/adults may apply to the Mentor role for the 2025 - 2026 Academic Year cycle (October 2025 - May 2026).
Mentors must have a professional or personal background in at least one of the following areas:
mental health
education or youth work
Asian community involvement
leadership roles
Mentors must have general availability to attend virtual:
Group Sessions - biweekly Saturdays from 12 - 2 PM ET / 9 - 11 AM PT
Mentor Meetings - arranged according to mentor and student schedules on a monthly basis, or as needed per project/student needs
