Caleb Chung (he/him) is a Korean American student from Pennsylvania. Caleb joined Thriving Asians in 2025 as a Young Visionary in Wellness & Leadership. His project as a Young Visionary aimed to create safe spaces for AANHPI youth to share their experiences, explore mental health and well-being topics, and connect with AANHPI leaders. His project supports youth in developing leadership & advocacy skills, becoming agents of positive change in their communities, and pursuing careers in mental health care to serve AANHPI community members.

Caleb conducted a community listening session to gain insight to meaningful safe spaces for Asian youth. Turning insight to action, he developed the “Safe Spaces & Peer Support for AANHPI Youth” Workshop, and partnered with Asian Americans United to deliver the workshop to peer camp counsellors of the Education for Liberation Summer Program. His project culminated in the creation of Philadelphia-based “Safe Spaces, Peer Support, AANHPI Community, and Empowerment” (SPACES) group. He continues to grow his SPACES group in partnership with Thriving Asians and Philadelphia-based youth leaders.

In 2026, Caleb bridged his roles as a Thriving Asians Senior Youth Mental Health Ambassador and Act to Change Youth Ambassador Alumni. He co-facilitated the TA “Redefining Mental Health” Workshop for ATC high school students - emphasizing the mental health impacts of bullying in Asian communities.

As a rising college student, Caleb continues to grow his leadership. As Thriving Asians’ Assistant Youth Network Coordinator, he organizes and guides new members of the Youth Mental Health Leadership community.
